Acrobe Acrobat Update Task I/O device error

Thank you so much for creating and posting this tool. I was struggling after a failed Win 10 upgrade and rollback to Win 7. Like so many others here.

All of my corrupted tasks were fixed except for one. I tried "Recycle existing tasks" and "Take tasks from backup".

For Recycle existing tasks it says "Cannot copy task file 'C:\windows\system32\Tasks\Adobe Acrobat Update Task', The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.".

And for tasks from backup it said that it does not exist in the backup.

Any ideas on what I should do next? I have unplugged it.

Thanks for any help!

The good news is that you are already in entirely acceptable shape. The task concerned is added by Adobe when you install one of their products, to make periodic checks for updates. So, leaving it in its current unplugged state should give you no problems. It is not in the zip file because it is not part of any Microsoft Windows release; if you would like to restore it, probably the easiest way is to repair or reinstall some Adobe software.
