One thing to add

I have one thing for you to add. Several cleanup utilities (even ccleaner at one time) remove the windows\system32\logfiles\scm folder. This results in selected task "{0}" no longer exists errors within Task Scheduler. The fix is to recreate the missing folder and reboot. If you could add a check for this, that would be wonderful.

Here are some URL's for reference:

I think that this is an excellent idea. Why the presence of this folder should be so important to the Task Scheduler is less than obvious, but it certainly seems to be so.

I got a somewhat different outcome when I removed the Scm folder on a clean Windows 7 machine: I got a “program cannot find specified folder” pop-up for every configured task, and the problem was fixable without a reboot, but ugly or what?

I’m converting this thread to an issue, and will try to get to the implementation soon.
